As some of you already know, I have been talking about starting a training center for the last year and now and things are finally coming into shape. The idea is to rent a mansion in the Caribbeans for the next year and have 6 students at a time come for 2 weeks and be coached on beating sngs and mtts. Right now the cost is looking to be around $3900 to have your own bedroom in the vacation mansion for two weeks and be coached by me along with my successful students. This two week vacation/learning opportunity will guarantee to increase your earnings as well as offering an amazing vacation. I have had a number of emails over the last year showing interest in this but now that the operation is beginning I need to get a list of everyone seriously interested.
To promote the training center, I will have a free roll and winner will get a free stay/ airfare paid for. The training center will begin in a month and pictures of the mansion will be posted soon. My email is gphysioc@verizon.net and any comments or questions are welcome.
So besides getting 100 hours of community service for having a couple friends on my balcony and waking up the older ladies above me who called the cops, last night the most absurd thing happened. One of my good friends I grew up with and coaching, Bruce was over playing a couple tables. After he was done playing he left and as he was leaving my parking garage he passed an older man who lives in my building and waved at him just as a friendly gesture. The old man stands there has a mean grin on his face, then flicks Bruce off! I know the visual sounds hilarious but it is so wrong and something needs to be done. My friends and I have done nothing more than to be completely friendly around here and for no reason are completely resented. I also was looking into getting an ashera cat which is a mix between an African serval, an Asian leopard cat, and a domestic house cat.
I'm currently on the biggest upswing of my career, working around 40 hours last month and winning over $100,000 between playing and backing. Obviously my recent results aren’t sustainable but feels good experiencing the positive side of short term variance. Over the last year I've made so much progress with my MTT game and still stimulates me mentally as well as still having so much to learn. I'd like to start playing MTT's full time but the variance can be so brutal compared to the steady money from SNG's. SNG's have just become a thoughtless grind after playing so many over the last couple years. I love the thrill of getting deep in a MTT and having to make big key decisions for alot of money. I also think the average player in MTT's play worse then in SNG's so with all said will probably start slowing moving to MTT's.
I've been in recent talks about potentially opening an SNG training center in LA or Vegas. We would have a house set up with coaches and an office for students to play in and there would be a flat fee for someone to live there for a couple weeks. I've taught most of my friends I grew up with how to play and some family members and everyone has had great success. I think just about anyone is capable of becoming profitable; you just have to know the right people to learn from. This could be a great opportunity for any average player to bring their game to the next level. I will keep everyone updated on how the project progresses.
Over the last couple years I, as long with all the guys I back have made so many frustrating 11-18th place finishes in the million and finally last Sunday one my best friends I grew up with and coach (Michael "reef2287" Grasewicz) came in 4th place for $72,000. He also came in 5th place in another mtt that day for $7,000 after losing ak to kq all in preflop for 1st place in chips. It's frustrating to get that far and not take it down but can't complain about each of us netting $40,000 in one night.
After reef got knocked out of the million it was around 4am and before having a chance to celebrate I remembered that I had court for a noise complaint in just a few hours. I live in an upscale condo in downtown Richmond, Va and am probably one of the only 22 year olds living in the building. I'm surrounded by a bunch of old, conservative, snobby people and every time I have a party they call the cops. I can understand they don't want to be woken up at night but I wish they could have just asked me to be quiet before calling the cops and I would have had no problem being more considerate. Anyway, when I showed up to court my neighbors were there to testify against me and I'm not sure what I did to piss them off so much but they were out to get me. I think they simply resent the fact that they've worked their whole life to live in a nice place and at the age of 22 I come in and am probably living better off than them. They made all these outrageous claims saying that I have parties every night etc. and wake them up which just isn't true. I ended up getting 100 hours of community service which made me furious. They were treating me like I was a criminal, putting me in a small jail cell with a bunch of crack heads waiting to get processed. It felt really weird going from making $40,000 in a night to a couple hours later in a business suite packed in a cell with a bunch of criminals. They looked at me really confused, asking why I was there. I quickly tried to think of something a little "harder" than a noise complaint lol but nothing came to mind. There was a toilet in the corner of the cell and every time someone took a piss it stunk up the whole room. I was worried one of them was going to take a shit but was fortunate enough not to experience that.
I decided after court, living in a condo, at least in Richmond is not for me. I'm going to buy a house in about 6 months and will probably save a couple rooms for students to come and visit. I will keep everyone updated on that, but for now going to hit up the gym and make a couple vids for pokervt.com.

I also recently did an interview with pokerlistings.com about prop betting. After my previous prop bet I had a number of sites that wanted to interview me but who wants to talk about how they got owned on a prop bet for $40,000 so I declined and tried to put that one in the past. Pokerlistings wanted to talk about my successful prop bets along with prop bets I have lost so I was cool with that. I really want to try the 40k in a month prop bet again but need to wait till the games soften back up a little bit. I really think eventually the crappy regs will realize grinding a million hours to get to elite and losing along the way just isn't worth it when there's other way softer sites to play on. Anyway, time to quit slacking and get back to the grind, expect to hear more once a week as I have another small prop bet on this.

Hey guys,
I received alot of requests though out the 40k prop bet to make a blog and feel alot more productive with goals I set when I blog on a regular basis so I decided to start one back up.
I'd first like to start off by talking about what a disaster the 40k in a month prop bet was and some of my goals in the future. For those who haven’t been following along I recently bet $40,000 at 1-1 odds that I could earn $40,000 playing only $60 sngs in a 30 day period. I couldn't include rake back or bonuses in this. About a year ago I won a similar bet saying I could make $25,000 in 30 days at the $60's and won in just 20 days. This time, I got about 2 weeks in, and although I had earned about $16,000 in rake back and bonuses, I was only up about $5,000 in profit from the sngs. I was running at a 1% roi over 5,000 sngs I played which is significantly lower than I expected, which was about 7%. I clearly ran horrible as well as playing too long sessions, the current state of games, and the number of tables I was playing at a time; 25-30 all added to a disaster. I decided to quit the bet as it looks like it's impossible for me to win and move back up in stakes to my normal games.
I'm quite concerned about the current state of high stake sng's. With poker stars adding super nova elite program and the current state of the economy-- not alot of recreational players have extra money to throw away in poker anymore. I'm expecting to make 2 million vpps this year which adds to about $300,000 and am aiming to make another $125,000 in profit from sngs. I'm also aiming to make around $150,000 this year from mtts and backing. So my goal for the year is to earn $575,000 which is lower than my original goal; $800,000. With the current state of high stake sng's I just don't expect to make nearly as much after rake back. I really hope something happens to soften the games back up but it will take alot more to force me to go back to college and get a normal job.
I also recently signed with Daniel Negreanu's site; pokervt.com. I remember when I first started playing poker I would watch him on TV and never dreamed of one day being being a team pro on his site. I've never been the smartest person but I've always been willing to work harder than anyone for something I want so the last 4 years of busting my ass to be one of the best at what I do is finally paying off. I will start making videos for his site starting March 1st so everyone make sure to check that out. I also wish the sngicons the best in the future.
Kind of like jhubs blog, I'm going to try and post my earnings to stay more organized and keep on pace with my goals. I will also be writing trip reports, posting pictures, analyzing interesting hand histories, and anything else that comes along from a 22 year old high stake sng balla that comes to mind :).
